"Ragnar" Sporran   2005 brass, copper, german silver, leather, buffalo hair.  6" high This sporran was crafted for a schoolteacher interested in Viking history. Inspired by the Valsgarde helm,  it boasts an etched brass oculus, eyebrows, and dragon-nasal. The raised center ridge slides on hidden pins to unlatch the sporran. Copper spangen panels are etched with Norse mythological motifs, showing the epic struggle of Jormungandr versus Thor, and Fenris versus Tyr. Return to Sporran Gallery
